WHAT IS THIS INFORMATION?

The information provided below describes, as required by the EU Regulation 2016/679, the processing operations performed on the personal data of the users visiting the Blue Project website.

The information provided does not concern other online websites, pages or services that can be accessed via hyperlinks on the above website.

In this Privacy Statement, we inform you about the purposes for which personal data are processed, how you can exercise your privacy-related rights and provide other information that may be of interest to you.

PRIVACY POLICY

In accordance with the Organic Law 3/2018, dated 5 December, on Personal Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD), the General Regulation of Data Protection (RGPD) and the related legislation, the ICM-CSIC undertakes to comply with the obligation of secrecy with regard to personal data and the duty to treat them confidentially after carrying out the corresponding risk analyses, in particular, in accordance with the First Additional Provision of the LOPDGDD, the security measures corresponding to those provided for in the National Security Scheme, necessary to prevent its alteration, loss, processing or unauthorised access.

Users may exercise their rights of access, rectification, cancellation, opposition, limitation or portability at any time by writing to the Secretary of ICM-CSIC at Passeig Marítim de la Barceloneta, 37-49 (08003 Barcelona, España) providing a photocopy of their National Identity Document (DNI).

The ICM-CSIC reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy in order to adapt it to the latest legislations, jurisprudences or interpretations made by the Spanish Data Protection Agency.  In this case, the CSIC will announce such changes, clearly indicating in advance the modifications made, and requesting, if considered necessary, their acceptance.

PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASIS OF THE PROCESSING

General visitor data are stored on our website, such as the most requested pages. The purpose of collecting navigation data is to optimise the layout of the website for you. The Data Controller uses various tools to make the website function optimally, improve user-friendliness and actively collect feedback from users.

In the login area, the access is permitted only to private accounts assigned by the Data Controller after the registration to the dedicated platform.

In case you provided your personal data in the project contact template, they will be processed only for the institutional purposes related to the project goals as well as to process your requests in compliance with the principles of lawfulness, correctness, transparency, adequacy, relevance and necessity pursuant to art. 5, paragraph 1 of EU Reg. 679/2016.In case you will participate to the forum, your opinions will be pseudonymised for research purposes under article 89 GDPR, unless functional to contact you for dissemination activities under the project for all its duration.

The Data Controller processes your personal data and uses cookies for this website.

No user profiling cookies are used. The only processing operation we perform is related to the creation of statistics via pseudonymized data concerning navigation on the www.blue-project.eu website.

Non-persistent session cookies are used as strictly necessary to allow secure, efficient navigation.

INFORMATION ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA BY WAY OF THE SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS USED BY THE BLUE PROJECT

As for the processing of personal data that is carried out by the social media platforms used by the Blue Project, please consider the information provided by those platforms through their privacy policies. The personal data made available by users through the social media pages the BLUE PROJECT manages as part of its institutional purposes are processed exclusively in order to handle user interactions (comments, public posts, etc) in full compliance with the applicable legislation.

DATA RETENTION PERIOD

The navigation data collected automatically are kept only for the time necessary to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its correct functioning and are deleted immediately after processing.

RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT

As data subjects, you shall have the right to obtain at any time confirmation as to whether or not your personal data exist, to be informed of the content and source of such data, to check their accuracy and request integration, updating or rectification, as well as to have the processing of your personal data restricted and any unlawfully processed data erased, made anonymous or blocked.
